Robert J. Kowalczik, Jr., of Port Jervis, NY, died Sunday, June 8, 2025. He was 63.

The son of the late Rose Marie (Cherry) and Robert Kowalczik, he was born on June 22, 1961 in Middletown, NY.

Robert was a man of strong opinions, quick wit, and unshakable love for his family. Known for his sarcastic humor and "his way or the highway" attitude, he lived life on his own terms—whether that meant making people laugh with his blunt jokes or standing his ground. An animal lover and caring family man, Robert faced his battle with lung cancer with the same toughness that defined him, fighting courageously until the end.  

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson Camden, brother Michael Kowalczik, and step-father Jack Sentz.

He is survived by his fiancé, Joan Decker and his children Chad and Amanda Kowalczik. Step-father of Eileen Decker, Scott Decker, Jennifer Rivera, Brandy Decker, Bryanna Decker, Nicole May, and Staci May. Grandfather to Morgan, Kaylee, Lydia, and Ricky, in addition to his step-grandchildren. Brother of Karen Moran, Brian Sentz, and Christopher Kowalczik.              

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 East Main Street, Port Jervis, NY.
