Obituary of Augusto Prieto

Augusto Prieto of Middletown, NY died at Highland Rehab & Nursing Center on June 5, 2025.  He was 90 years old. 

The son of the late Lucricia and Abel Prieto, he was born on August 30, 1934 in Bogota, Colombia. 

Augusto earned his Master's degree in his native Colombia and built a successful career as a Communications Engineer at Telefonica. He later moved to the United States, where he lived with his beloved wife and devoted himself to caring for his daughter, whom he loved deeply.

Beloved husband of Luz M. Prieto and devoted father of Luz Eugenia Prieto whom both survive at home.  Dear brother of Abel Prieto of Miami, FL.  

Services are private at this time.   Entrusted to the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home of Port Jervis, NY.

Hijo de los difuntos Lucricia y Abel Prieto, nació el 30 de agosto de 1934 en Bogotá, Colombia.

Augusto obtuvo su Maestría en su natal Colombia y desarrolló una exitosa carrera como Ingeniero en Telecomunicaciones en Telefónica. Posteriormente se radicó en Estados Unidos, donde vivió junto a su amada esposa y dedicó su vida al cuidado de su hija, a quien amó profundamente.

Amado esposo de Luz M. Prieto y devoto padre de Luz Eugenia Prieto, quienes lo sobreviven en el hogar familiar. Querido hermano de Abel Prieto de Miami, FL.
