Obituary of Beverly A. Roberts

Beverly A. Roberts a lifetime resident of the area died on May 27, 2025 at Delaware Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Matamoras.  She was 92 years old. 

The daughter of the late Gladys nee Johnston and William MacFarlane, she was born on November 12, 1932 in Matamoras, PA.

Beverly was united in marriage to William Roberts on June 8, 1952; he preceded her in death in 2018.

She was employed with the U.S. Geological Survey, Delaware Rivermasters Office, where she served with dedication for 21 years before retiring in 1994. Beverly was a longtime member of the Matamoras United Methodist Church and the Pocono Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Following her retirement, she devoted her time to volunteer work, giving back to her community through the American Cancer Society and the American Red Cross, where she assisted at mobile blood drives for several years.

In addition to her parents and husband, Beverly was predeceased in life by her brother George Roeder and cousin Peter Rennick.

Devoted mother of Kathleen A. Roberts of Matamoras.  Dear sister of Paul MacFarlane of Metarie LA and Eric MacFarlane of Engelwood Fl.  She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services are private at this time.  A Memorial Service at the Matamoras United Methodist Church will be announced at a later date.  Cremation to be held at MacLennan Hall Crematorium.  Arrangements entrusted to the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home of Port Jervis, NY.
