Obituary of James Conklin

James Conklin of Huguenot died peacefully at home on April 8, 2025, with his family by his side.  He was 52 years old.  

The son of the late Elizabeth and Ralph Conklin Sr, he was born on July 2, 1972 in Port Jervis, NY. 

James was a man who cherished life’s simple pleasures and the time spent with those he loved. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in fishing, hunting, and camping—always with his family by his side. Whether casting a line into quiet waters or sharing stories around a campfire, these were the moments he treasured most. He was also a familiar sight on his bicycle, riding with what seemed like a million miles under his legs, embracing the journey it brought.

Above all, James was a father and family man who lived for good times and laughter. His love, his stories, and his adventurous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.  

In addition to his parents James was predeceased in life by his brother Daniel Conklin.  

Devoted father of Andrew Conklin (Nicole).  Cherished brother of Ralph Conklin Jr with his wife Maryjane.  Dear grandfather of Charlotte Conklin.  Fond uncle of Chris, Ralph III, Adam, Paul and Anthony Conklin.  Great uncle to many nieces and nephews.
