Linda M. Koferl of Matamoras, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at St. Joseph’s Place on March 23, 2025. She was 77 years old.

The daughter of the late William and Mae Rowe, she was born on August 5, 1947, in Englewood, NJ.  In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased in life by her beloved husband James Koferl, her stepmother LouElla Rowe, and brother Jimbo Rowe. 

She will be sorely missed by sons William Koferl with his wife Beth of Matamoras and Michael Koferl with his wife Heather of Cotopaxi, CO.   Dear sister of Debbie Rowe Kent (Kenny) of Sparrowbush, sister in law of Bernadette Rowe of Park Slope, NY.  Linda was the cherished grandmother of Travis and Ashleigh Koferl, fond niece of Dolores Carlos, and aunt to Nicole and Robert Lewis. 

A retired cashier, she dedicated 40 years of service to ShopRite of Montague, NJ, before her well-earned retirement.  Linda was a faithful member of Sparrowbush United Methodist Church, where she served as a Lay Leader and Worship Leader.   She was a 60 year member of the River Valley Order of the Eastern Star, having held roles as Matron and Grand Officer. Her commitment to service extended to the Sparrowbush Ladies Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, the Deerpark Lions Club, and as a Den Mother for Cub Scouts Pack 77.

Linda enjoyed various craft projects, cooking family dinners, wine & a good Manhattan.

A visitation will take place on Friday 3/28 from 3 to 7:00PM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home. The Order of the Eastern Star Services will take place at 4pm.  A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday 3/29 11:00AM at Sparrowbush United Methodist Church.  Prior to services the family will receive guests from 10:30AM to 11:00AM.  Cremation took place at MacLennan Hall Crematorium.  

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Sparrowbush United Methodist Church, 44 Main Street, Sparrowbush, NY 12780.
