John T. Pawlowski of Port Jervis, NY,  passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025 at Delaware Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehab.  He was 77 years old.


The son of the late Helena and John Pawlowski, he was born on March 10, 1948 in Jersey City, NJ.


John was a devoted veteran, avid outdoorsman, and lifelong learner, leaving behind a legacy of courage, curiosity, and adventure. He proudly served his country in Vietnam as a member of the United States Army, demonstrating unwavering dedication.

John had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in biking, hiking, scuba diving, and camping.  A man of great intelligence, John was often found with a book in hand, constantly expanding his knowledge and generously sharing his wisdom with others. 

He will be remembered for his kindness, his passion for life, and the impact he had on his family and friends. John’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his sisters, Renee McGraw and Lida Sellers.  Dear Uncle of Danielle, Iala, and Evan McGraw.

 

Arrangements were entrusted to Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Port Jervis, NY.
