Obituary of Robert P. Hamilton

Robert P. Hamilton, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, at Garnet Medical Center.  He was 80 years old.

The son of the late Elaine and Robert E. Hamilton, he was born on January 16, 1945, in Nyack, NY.

Robert was a Communications Technician for Frontier after having proudly served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife Linda of Port Jervis, NY; Daughters, Amy O’Connor (Kevin) of Port Jervis, NY and Katherine Zimmerman (Dominick Lionetti) of Cotopaxi, CO; along with his sons, Mark Hamilton of Chester, NY and Steven Hamilton of Blooming Grove, NY.  Grandfather to Jordan, Madeline, Demeray, Rebecca, Jacob, Emma, Ethan, Andrew, and Aiden; Great-grandfather to Jameson, Hudson, Aaron, Jacek, Leah, Samuel, and Delanie. Brother of Andrea Hamburger (Michael) and Jill Hamilton.   Uncle to David Hamburger and Gillian Hamburger.

A memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, April 13th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home.  Memorial Reflections will take place 3:30PM at the Funeral Home.  A procession will form 10:00 AM Monday, April 14th at the Funeral Home for final committal at Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY.  

Private cremation services took place at MacLennan Hall Crematorium.  Arrangements entrusted to Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home of Port Jervis, NY.
