Roy and I were best friends for over 40 years. We were always there for each other through thick and thin, good times and bad, but our relationship never changed. He was always honest, loving and the best person I knew. I will miss him dearly but know he is no longer suffering but in the hands of the Lord.

Dad there is no words that can describe the feeling of loss I feel. You and I have always spent hours talking and taking on the world’s problems. From driving in the car, going on vacations and just sitting and having tea. We have contemplated how we would get things done and what we wanted to see the world to be. I loved our movie times and I have instilled that in my own family. I will always be forever grateful for being your little girl(even though I am the older daughter). Please know how much you were loved by me. I will forever miss you❤️

Q: What will you never forget about Roy? A: I will never forget when Poppie Jr. got to meet my daughter, Clementine, for the first time. It was June of 2024 and he came to my Aunt Darlene’s house for Fathers Day. My Nannie, Antionette, was holding her and he looked up at her like she was the most purest thing in the world and I’ll never forget that look.

I have many memories of my Poppy Jr. from when I was younger, from when he would watch movies with me as a child to when I got older, and we would just talk about anything, from when he was a kid to when I was a kid. Simply put, he was the best grandfather I had, and I will miss him dearly; the memories are with me. - I love you Poppy Jr.

When we went to Walt Disney and we rode the the Avatar ride a when we got off he said “that’s it, that was all, that ride wasn’t very much”. I loved that trip I wish we could have more with him.
