Roy H. Wechtler, Jr, of Port Jervis passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, at home surrounded by love.  He was 81 years old.

The son of the late Philetta and Roy H. Wechtler, Sr., he was born on December 13, 1943 in Jefferson City, MO.

Roy was a mechanic by trade. He considered himself an outdoorsman, woodsman, and hunter with a passion for carpentry; but his love for his family was the most important of all.

He is survived by his wife Valerie of Port Jervis, NY, daughters Darlene Picchianti with her husband, Mark, and Antoinette Prussia with her husband, Charles. Grandfather to Robert B. Hartenfels, Kelsey E. Picchianti, Samantha Prussia, Charles F. Prussia, and Charity M. Prussia. Great-grandfather to Katelend, Charles-Robert, Nevaeh, Khristina, and Kaylee; Great-great-grandfather to Clementine. Brother-in-law of Lisa Bednar (Ron), Faith Cavalone, Denise Borkenhaven (Kevin), Adam Bullock, and the late Todd Bullock.

A Memorial Service will be held 3:00PM March 29, 2025,  at the Hope Evangelical Free Church 300 First Street,  Matamoras, PA.
