Genevieve Kalena died peacefully on February 10, 2025 in Middletown, NY. She was 101 years old.
The daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Magdalena Nosek, she was born on February 27, 1923 in NYC, NY.
Genevieve had a creative artistic expression. Throughout her long life she dabbled in the arts from making stained glass panels to oil paintings. She adored singing and dancing as well.
In addition to her parents Genevieve was predeceased in life by her sisters Helen Caruso, Bernice Jarrett, her brother Walter Nosek and her former husband Fred Kalena.
Beloved mother of Frederick E. Kalena and Genevieve Melrose with her husband Jerald. Cherished grandmother of Alex Kalena, Ashley Kalena and Dennis Crump. Great grandmother of five great great grandmother of ten.
