Louis M. Latini a lifelong resident of Port Jervis died peacefully on January 21, 2025 with his family at his side. He was 67 years old.
The son of Louise and the late Tony Latini, he was born on January 16, 1958 in Port Jervis, NY.
Lou was known for his love of music and preforming talents. He was an avid drummer, having played with Velvet Touch, Rich Wilson, and the Dan Bradley Orchestra. He had a knack for a great Louie Armstrong rendition of What a Wonderful World. Most recently his talents awarded him the King of the Feast at the Bella Notte Italiana Festival.
Lou was a long time member of the Mount Carmel Society, Port Jervis. When not showing off his performing gifts, Lou could be found golfing, fishing, or hunting. Lou served as the quintessential Santa Claus to the children of the Port Jervis schools.
In addition to his father Lou was predeceased in life by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph Macchiarolo with his wife, Rosa.
Beloved husband of Maria Macchiarolo. Cherished son of Louise Latini. Dear brother of Tony Latini his wife Mary Lou, James Latini and Marianne Miles with her husband David. Fond brother-in-law of Ralph Macchiarolo with his wife Nancy Wolff. Lou was an uncle, great uncle, cousin, and friend who will be missed by many.
A visitation will take place on Sunday 1/26 from 1:00 to 4:00PM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home. Family will gather on Monday 9:00AM at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00AM at St. Mary's RC Church, Port Jervis. Following the Mass, a private cremation will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lou's memory to a charity of one's choice.
